Elaine and her colleagues share a deep appreciation for beautiful homes, good food and wine, antiques, the arts and gardening. Having lived in Burgundy for decades, they each bring to the team extensive local knowledge, a wide network of artisans and tradespeople as well as their own complementary professional experience.
Elaine Jarvis
Elaine created Burgundy Essentials five years ago for managing properties of second home owners in Burgundy. She has had the priviledge of creating urban gardens for clients in England as well as in the Paris region. After having lovingly restored a prestigious property in Kent, featured in Home & Garden, she co-founded a French landscaping company in 2000. Elaine is also an experienced horticulturalist, specialising in the therapeutic properties of plants and as such she was invited to create Le Carré des Simples for the Intenational Garden Festival of Chaumont sur Loire in France in 2010. She continues to work to this day as a manager and design consultant.
Paul Massart
Skilled in multi-tasking, Paul has a long experience in dealing with household maintenance; from pool to patio nothing escapes his vigilant eye! Efficient and knowledgeable he enjoys the challenge of problem solving.
Marie Massart-Groscol
Marie has prepared fine food and organised for owners their elegant properties around France for many years. She makes everything she does look effortless and has an uncanny ability to establish priorities in the blink of an eye!
